About Our Company.
Kevin Canfield, the proud owner of K Aubrey Flowers, a charming local flower shop nestled in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia has a unique journey. Starting out, Kevin obtained his degree in Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University. In 1991, Kevin relocated to the DMV area and found himself working for a local flower gallery in downtown Washington, DC.
Kevin has always had a love for nature’s true beauty and found a passion creating floral designs! That passion quickly became a drive to start his own business. Thus, K Aubrey Flowers was born and is currently going on 28 successful years located in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia on the famous King Street.
Over the years, Kevin has had the opportunity to provide his creative floral design services for extravagant inauguration events, notable clubs, and private events including weddings across the DMV area and Bermuda.
K Aubrey Flowers has given Kevin a creative outlet to express his ideas through floral designs. In addition, it has connected him to a loving, supportive community. In his 28 years of being a florist and shop owner, his experience has taught him that nothing is possible without loving your craft, putting your customers first, and going into work every day excited to create floral designs that will brighten someone's day!
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys volunteering with the National Cathedral flower guild. He is also known as the king of the kitchen, cooking delicious homemade meals, as well as a devoted gardening guru who loves cozying up to his cat, Lily!
